Q: What kind of batteries does a stun gun require ?

A: All of our stun devices use 9 volt alkaline batteries. We specifically recommend Duracell batteries as they have been proven to be the most consistent and reliable. Energizer batteries also work well. Do not use rayovac, panasonic or generic brand batteries as the do provide a high load charge and your stun gun will not work properly.

The instructions that come with your stun gun mention using rechatrgeable batteries. Please do not use rechargeable batteries or your stun gun will not work properly. The reason the instructions mention rechargeable batteries is that the rechargeable batteries available in Asia and Europe work differently than the ones here in the United States.
