Stun Guns Testimonial
Hello
Dj,
just wanted
to say that that the stun gun arrived in great shape and that
we're very pleased with it. Yesterday afternoon we had a chance
to 'test' the stun device on a rotweiler that had gotten away
from it's owner in a petstore parking lot. It didn't come
for our dogs but went after a terrier. As my wife secured
our dogs in the car , I pulled the stun gun from underneath
my seat and ran towards the fight. The rotweiler had been
held at bay with by both of the terrier's owners, who fought
and kicked at the dog while the rot's owner just sat in his
car and watched. As I approached, the rottie got thru the
gauntlet of kicking feet and tried to bite the terrier on
the back of the neck. This dog was relentless and kept trying
to come after the terrier, despite the repeated kicking from
the owners. People were yelling at the rotties owner to call
it off, but he just slowly got up and leaned on his car. With
the stick armed, I kicked at the dog once to knock him clear
and jabbed him with the Panther and applied a full five second
stun delivery. The dog made a high pitched yelp and went into
what resembled a mild seizure-like state. what was important
was that the dog stopped its attack.
We dragged
it over to a light post and secured the leash to it. At this
time, the owner, a younger white male grew concerned and approached
us yelling to leave his dog alone. Two store personnel and
two other customers who had seen everything detained the owner
until the police arrived. He tried to fight off those who
were attempting to detain him, so when they took him down,
they had to sit on him. He quit fighting after I placed the
test electrodes in front of his face and fired off a burst
or two (but I did not shock him). Someone asked how powerful
the baton was and I said "500,000 volts, enough to hurt
like hell and piss your pants" he gave up and went limp
on that comment.
The police
would only cite him initially but took away his dog to be
euthanized. The dog had already attacked two other prior times
within the city limits. He insisted that he tried to call
the dog back but eyewitness reports said otherwise. Then he
threatened to sue those who were involved with his takedown
and detainment, but with all the witness reports taken, the
police advised him to let it go. Then like an idiot he got
into it with them and ended up getting arrested. The fellow
told police that I'd stunned him too, so I voluntarily reliquished
my stun gun to the officers for the duration of the event
assessment but was returned to me shortly after it was determined
that I'd used it in the defense of the smaller dog only and
not on the rottie's owner. It IS legal to own this device
in this state, but I would caution those who would use it
like they would harsh langauge; it WILL be confiscated if
you use it in aggression. Otherwise it is a wonderful deterrent
to secure a chance to remove yourself from a dangerous situation.
The terrier
was treated at an on site animal hospital and released, with
only a few wounds. thank you, for making this device ailable.
It was also less expensive through you than through the manufacturer's
site. thanks again, LP
